Missiology

We offer subjects in missilogy that maybe chosen within a course of study such as the Diploma or Bachelor of Ministry or similar.

The Tinsley Institute is strongly committed to a ‘watch-learn-do’ model of leadership development. Only so much learning can happen in the classroom. Therefore we have developed and continue to develop internships to students and other future leaders to grow in their understanding and to widen the skills base.

Cross-Cultural Intern Scheme

The aim of this internship is to provide one Morling College student per year with exposure to and reflection on cross cultural mission principles in action in non-Anglo/non-Western cultures or sub-cultures within Australia. It aims encourage that student to seriously consider vocational missionary work in the future. This internship is sponsored by Global Interaction.

The cross-cultural interns will be placed in various cross-cultural settings (including various ethnic churches) here in Sydney for observation, reflection and coaching. They will experience one trip interstate (probably Central Australia) and one trip overseas to meet with Global Interaction cross cultural workers.
