Exploring the Strands of Church Governance
Leadership Forum
Friday 7 August 2009
9.30am - 4.00pm
Who leads the local Baptist Church? Who makes decisions? How should the local Baptist church express leadership and governance, in order to be faithful to Baptist ecclesiology, Scripture, and its mission to reach out with the Gospel?
This Leadership Forum explores the issue of Leadership and Baptist Church Governance by exploring Scripture, Baptist ecclesiology, and contemporary and historical models of Baptist church governance, and by giving space for pastors and leaders to ask questions and suggest what governance and leadership models are working in their context. This forum is designed to explore the relationship between leadership and congregational church governance. It considers various leadership styles and governance models for different sized churches.
The Leadership Forum keynote speakers are Graeme Chatfield, Ken Clendinning and Graham Hill and will take place at Morling College
