Morling Leadership Forum: “Being the Mission Leader Your Church Needs”

You are warmly invited to a Leadership Forum at Morling College on Monday August 4, 2008, 9am-4pm

How do local churches navigate their changing social context, and decide what must change to become genuinely missional?

There are many tensions leadership teams and congregations need to live with. Churches need to be able to constantly adapt. In the 21st century, churches will need to live with ongoing change. As an organic community they righty desire stability; as a social organisation they must intentionally de-stabilise in order to reproduce and grow.

Why? How? What quality of leadership can lead such a journey?

These questions will be addressed in this leadership forum by a leader experienced in re-missionalising local congregations.

Speaker: Stephen Hinks is currently the Principal of the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM), and was the founding Executive Director of Leadership Network Australia (LNA), spending time with leaders of large Churches across evangelical denominations developing a national network. He is now the Chairman of LNA with the goal of resourcing church leaders and planters to improve their missional effectiveness across Australia, and has extensive experience in helping churches become missional.

Cost: $35 (including lunch and morning tea)

Presented by the Tinsley Institute and the Centre for Leadership
