Postgraduate Study
Morling College is committed to providing opportunities for ongoing development through theological reflection and application in relevant and practical ways for people in full time ministry and others in their particular vocations. Through weekly lectures, week-long intensives or a series of day long lectures/seminars, students receive instruction from Morling faculty and internationally
recognised and acclaimed specialists in their fields.
Postgraduate subjects cover a range of topics in Bible and theology, mission, ethics and pastoral practice. Morling College (in conjunction with the Tinsley Institute) provides opportunities to explore postgraduate issues related to evangelism, pastoral leadership, culture and mission. Each subject integrates Biblical and theological
reflection, along with a focus on application to the student’s specific ministry setting. While all of us are at different points in our ministry and studies, some completing undergraduate studies, some approaching retirement, some who have been in ministry for a while, we trust that you will find postgradute coursework or research opportunities that fit your academic and ministry interests.
Coursework awards include the Graduate Diploma in Ministry, Graduate Diploma in Theology, Master of Arts (in Theology or Ministry) and the Doctor of Ministry. For those with a degree in a field other than theology, a Graduate Diploma of Divinity, a Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies and a Master of Arts (Christian Studies) are available. It is possible to proceed from the Graduate Diploma to the Master of Arts (Christian Studies), and students whithout undergraduate theological degrees are commonly exploring this award as an exciting program that offers a pathway into theological and ministry study. Research awards include the Master of Theology and Doctor of Theology.
Morling is commited to:
1. Resourcing & equipping men and women for more effective ministry
2. Facilitating ongoing personal spiritual formation
3. Academic excellence with practical application
4. A stimulating environment for all students
