Undergrad Intensives

Part-time study allows students the opportunity to study Bible and ministry subjects at a time that is convenient to their lifestyle. The time allowed for subjects differs depending on the course, however most lectures take 3 hours and an additional 6 hours for study is recommended. Morling College offers day and evening subjects that can be awarded to the courses listed below. Please see the Timetable for a list of evening and day subjects being held in 2010.

Certificate in Biblical Studies (Morling award)
This is a one year program of study intended to provide personal enrichment and equipping for more effective service as a church member.

Certificate in Theology (also offered in Cantonese)
Understand the Christian faith and its relevance for today. Six subjects must be completed including Old Testament, New Testament and Christian Belief.

Certificate in Children’s Ministry (Morling award)
The course is designed to help equip Sunday School teachers, Scripture teachers, those involved in children’s clubs and others interested in children’s ministry.

Certificate in Youth Ministry (Morling award)
The course is designed to help equip youth leaders, Scripture teachers, those involved in para-church organisations and others interested in youth ministry.

Diploma of Theology and Diploma of Ministry
This course provides a foundation of understanding and skills relevant for Christian service.

Advanced Diploma of Ministry
A further year of study to deepen the understanding and training gained through the Diploma of Theology or Ministry.

Bachelor of Theology
Intended to provide a thorough grounding in Biblical and theological studies.

Bachelor of Ministry
Intended to prepare men and women for Christian ministry in Australia and other cultures. A wide range of practical and pastoral subjects to allow specification in an area of ministry.

Bachelor of Christian Studies
Integrate university studies with theological education to provide a program of study that brings Christian perspective and commitment to life in the world.

Graduate Diploma in Divinity
Intended for graduates in disciplines other than theology who wish to undertake Biblical theological and pastoral ministry studies.

Graduate Certificate of Counselling
Basic training for people where counselling is an accepted part of the work or ministry role. Entry requirement is a previous degree or diploma.

Graduate Diploma of Counselling
Builds on basic training for people where counselling is an accepted part of the work or ministry role. Entry requirement is a previous degree or diploma.

Master of Divinity
To help prepare men and women who already have a degree (in a discipline other than theology) for ministry in the church and community.

Master of Arts (Christian Studies) and Graduate Diploma in Christian Studies
Designed for students who wish to relate their previous tertiary study and employment to their Christian faith.
