Rev Dr Phillip Marshall
MBBS, BTh, DMin
Phill Marshall joined the faculty in 2004 as Lecturer in Missions and Old Testament. Prior to coming to Morling, he and his wife, Diane were SIM's HIV/AIDS Consultants for Africa and beyond, which Diane continues. Phill’s DMin from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School is on SIM's response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa.
Phill became a Christian in Japan, and was interested in mission from the very beginning. He travelled to India and Papua New Guinea prior to finishing medical school and after marrying Diane undertook a Bachelor of Theology in New Zealand before moving to Peru to undertake church leadership development with SIM. Their three children Josh (married to Giuliana, with son Thomas), Rebekah (married to Matt) and Luke grew up in Peru and Ecuador, returning to Australia for university. Phill's later years in South America were in mission leadership.
Phill’s vision is to see every Christian leader passionate about mission. Phill and Diane are members of Blakehurst Baptist Church. |
