Neil trained as a relationship counsellor in 1993-4 and then began the Narara Valley Counselling Service on the Central Coast of NSW. He was on the pastoral staff of Narara Valley Baptist church from 1995 – 2000. He also worked part time for Unifam in the domestic violence unit, working with men who abuse in relationships.

Neil moved on to work for Baptist Community Services Life Care Counseling services as the northern regional manager responsible for management, supervision of programs and supervision and training of counsellors and staff. Neil is also in the Sexual Abuse Complaints Committee for the NSW Baptist Union. He is a clinical member of the Australian Association of Relationship Counsellors, the Christian Counselors Association of Australia and the Society of Counsellors and Psychotherapists Educators.

Neil has been teaching on a casual basis in the Graduate Diploma at Morling for the past three years as well as a part time lecturer in the Masters of Counselling program for the Wesley Institute.

Married to Judy, together they have three adult children and one son in law.
Neil is available to assist the students in course problems and course program issues. He is also one of the first points of contacts for prospective students who wish o discuss the various levels of counselor training available in the college, and the process involved to apply for training.
