Mrs Edwina Murphy
B.Ec, B.Min, M.Th

Edwina joined the faculty part-time in 2008 as the lecturer in Church History. She has been associated with Morling since commencing as a student in 1993, including roles as a tutor, visiting lecturer and distance lecturer. Edwina was an evangelistic intern (1998) and served as associate pastor of Macquarie Baptist Church (1999-2000). Her research interests include the Church Fathers, particularly Cyprian, and Baptist history and practice.

Edwina enjoys sharing the hope we have in Christ and God’s continuing work in history (and our lives) through lecturing, preaching and speaking evangelistically.

She is also fond of Jane Austen, romantic comedies, Parramatta Eels, St George Dragons, Sydney (Swans, FC), Australia (especially in cricket), Wii Fit and chocolate. She is most devoted to her husband Peter and their children, Joel and Lara. They are members of Blakehurst Baptist Church.
